I don't think they improve in skill. I've played 100+ runs in the same city, but the workers didn't improve in skills. They did get promoted though. IDK if their salary goes up.

The salary goes up with each promotion. As for skills at least with driving they are the same as when you recruit them. I do not know if their job tech specific skills do improve though...

Interesting, I see. Thanks for digging this out after almost a year. It´s gonna be soon, that it´s time again for winter gaming evenings. Too bad, that the skills don´t improve. A bit of lost potential there.

I know. I would love if they did improve too. Since you are paying more to employ a rank 7 staffer than you are from employing a rank 3. I have 100% the game achievements and I can definitely confirm driving will not improve with rank but you will pay a higher salary to staffers that have igher rank than those that have lower rank. Specific skills do not seem to improve, unless your staffer is in a specific vehicle with bonuses attached to them or has gear that grants bonuses to skills or performance (an example is a firefighter having a buff of 0,5 tech work for being assigned to a technical truck, or being faster by 0.5 fires if assigned to a fire truck. Other examples include staff equipped with technical tools getting tech skil buff or different police vehicles giving different armor stat buff to police officers assigned to it or medics assigned to an ambulance getting 0,5 injured skill buff).
