First of all, thank you :)
The trailer is a bit more agressive than the game itself, trying to emulate the feeling of "oh no, oh wow, oh damn, aaaaagh!!"... It feels way different when you play it as opposed to watching someone else play aswell.
Hope once you get to try the game it'll open up nicer for you :)

It can give some people headaches.
I assure you that giving me the option to turn it off or down won't be detrimental to my experience.
I get eye fatigue after half an hour if I'm playing a game with overdone screenshake. Judging by videos on youtube, it doesn't seem subtle and it happens everytime you shoot a bullet.
Well now I tried it and its way too high like expected. So please consider an option to disable it...
Thanks for considering.
After playing a decent bit, I disagree with myself. I'm okay with the current screen shake.
understatement of the year here.
Not at all. The devs wanted to achieve a specific feel of intensity that doesn't translate without it. All the systems, from the visuals, audio, and gameplay all feed into each other to suck you into the experience. It's all about reacting from the gut here, and screenshake is crucial to it.
So in order to keep everyone on the same playing field, there can't be an option to remove or add a slider. We realize this isn't a game for everyone, and that's fine.
I've put in over 42 hours into the game just because I've been super into it since day 1. Note I'm on the publisher team for this, not an actual dev and I didn't have to put in that many hours. I just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it. We tested out various degrees of screenshake and this is what we found works best overall.
