Screenshake
Hiya, game looks really fun. Will we be able to turn off or at least down the screenshake in this game? It looks a bit overdone in the trailer.

Hey ya!

First of all, thank you :)

The trailer is a bit more agressive than the game itself, trying to emulate the feeling of "oh no, oh wow, oh damn, aaaaagh!!"... It feels way different when you play it as opposed to watching someone else play aswell.

Hope once you get to try the game it'll open up nicer for you :)

I'm watching a stream right now and the screenshake really seems a bit too much. A option to disable it would be much appreciated!

It can give some people headaches.

No, screenshake can't be turned off. We tested various levels of screenshake and determined no screen shake at all made the game insanely boring. It's hard to judge from streams, it's def one of those things you have to try it yourself to see if it will really bother you or not.

It will bother me. I'm not excited by having my eyes rattled.
I assure you that giving me the option to turn it off or down won't be detrimental to my experience.

I get eye fatigue after half an hour if I'm playing a game with overdone screenshake. Judging by videos on youtube, it doesn't seem subtle and it happens everytime you shoot a bullet.

Since it's almost out I guess I can go ahead and weigh in. Personally I found the screenshake to be a tad over the top as well. It's not too bad early on in the game but once you get further on it gets really distracting, basically to the point where I wasn't sure what was going on anymore becuase everytime I fired I lost track of my character.

Well now I tried it and its way too high like expected. So please consider an option to disable it...

It would be foolish to not at least make this an option in-game. Even if it comes with a warning that this is not how the game was 'meant' to be experienced. Tons of people are complaining. Just read the comments on the Youtube videos/etc.

Thanks for considering.

After playing a decent bit, I disagree with myself. I'm okay with the current screen shake.

Strongly consider making it an option. Giving players those kind of options tells people that the game devs have confidence in their game's gameplay.

Just played it. Can't stand the screen shake, and can't turn it off. Not having this option is a very, very bad move.

The screenshake is horrible. On top of that the game is capped at 60fps so I can't see ♥♥♥♥ half of the time when playing the game. I refunded.

Sounds like a sign that your game isn't very good. Like really? Screen shake is what saves your game from being boring?

Jesus Steam gamers are such crybabies. It barely shakes.

Not at all. The devs wanted to achieve a specific feel of intensity that doesn't translate without it. All the systems, from the visuals, audio, and gameplay all feed into each other to suck you into the experience. It's all about reacting from the gut here, and screenshake is crucial to it.

So in order to keep everyone on the same playing field, there can't be an option to remove or add a slider. We realize this isn't a game for everyone, and that's fine.

I've put in over 42 hours into the game just because I've been super into it since day 1. Note I'm on the publisher team for this, not an actual dev and I didn't have to put in that many hours. I just really ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love it. We tested out various degrees of screenshake and this is what we found works best overall.

The devs who made the game are by far the worst testers for a game. You all have too much bias towards your game. Listen to your audience.
