USE THE TERMINALS.
Terminals can be used to scan areas for resources. Resources are always scripted to spawn in specified amounts in specific Zones, plus-minus one-two charges. Instead they randomly spawn in lockers, and then lockers themselves can be in random locations as well. So if you find an ammopack in Zone_X - that ammopack is ALWAYS somewhere in there on every run, just could randomly spawn in some box hidden in a dark far corner of the room that you just wouldn't even think of checking.
So use the terminals, ping the packs, find them, eat them, good game. Levels provide plenty of resources, especially early easy ones.
Other than that i have no other ideas. You didn't specified what exactly killed you on your last attempt, so...
Right! The bots.
Give one of the bots a biotracker if you're not interested in using one yourself - bots cheat slightly when using it and will violently ping any awake enemies in a massive radius, pretty much providing you with passive wallhacks during loud moments.
NEVER give bots c-foam, they have horrific track-rate at using it right.
Ideally don't give them the mines either, but its not as bad.
Its either biotracker or turrets for optimal play.
For guns: give them something medium range that can be spammed and has lots of ammo. Assault Rifles and Machine Guns seem to generally be a good call.
I think the meta was Burst Rifle + LMG. Do not give them anything that deals high damage - they will just end up doming you instead.
Except for Burst Cannon - while they do have a risk at oneshoting you they also are unfairly efficient at using it against the small enemies because they don't actually burst with it and take singular potshots instead. Can be make bots very efficient at actually killing enemies, but eats ammo quick - so i only ever give them 1 and the rest go for Spray'n'Pray low calibers.
-They never hit me with their guns but the bots themselves (wierd).
-They fire at enemies when in line of sight regardless of range even trying to snipe with shotguns.
-They tend to switch rooms when you try to close one door (to prepare for waves etc.) locking them behind but they can phase to you when their path to you is unreachable and/or too far.
-Be aware that bots tend to use melees even when crowded by enemies. They also don't care who they melee. You should focus on big enemies like giants, especially chargers/giant chargers, before they can reach the bots.
Use the gtfo wiki that has every step listed for each mission with video. And look up guides on steam or wiki.
Since I only play with bots, many strategies recommended doesn't work as good as with players (pointing to c-foam and mines combo). Switch and test different tools since they have bigger impacts than the choice of weapons imo.
Avoid the rookie mistake of placing sentries (assuming you're using them) randomly. Place them at the doorways that enemies will come through.
Good luck!
