In general what do the bots actually effect achievement wise?

The not going down achievement needs 4 actual players yes.

Off the top of my head you can also not bring any bot to the "complete a B tier alone with only pistols and/or revolvers equipped" Bringing a bot does not count as alone.
And I don't remember if the bot shooting voids the achievement requiring completing an A tier without using weapons.

Those are probably the only ones affected, the rest can be done with bots.

Note that the biotracker achievement can be done but might be problematic if a bot decides to shoot an enemy before it being pinged.
