mbw_config_linux crash
Under Linux when you first run Mount & Blade a menu pops up and you have the option to either play the game or "Configure Mount&Blade: Warband (choose module)". Selecting this option was the method I was able to change the active mod. I say "was" because about a year ago selecting this option produced a crash. I use Fedora and I first hit this problem when using Fedora 37 and I still have that problem after installing Fedora 41.

Finally when I try to run ./mbw_config_linux
I get this error: ./mbw_config_linux: error while loading shared libraries: libsteam_api.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

hey i know this is a long shot and maybe because we use different distro my solution wouldnt work as well in your machine, but i found a workaround. go to your local files, go to mb_warband.sh, copy that, name it something appropiate, and just change the content of that .sh, in the part where it says mb_warband, change it to mbw_config_linux. hope this help!
