the sims 3 will not open for me anyone got a fix?

Hello! I was thinking to buying them, but not sure and I decided to make a important question and I hope they can answer correctly. It worth buying all these DLCs or better ignore them? And do y'all think The Sims 3 is still fun without DLCs?

I mean... This game is the only one to have an open world. But The Sims 4 doesn't have an open world. And it's a successor came out in 2014, but it doesn't have an open world... Why? It makes me mad when EA made huge changes... EA ruined everything... And I'm arguing on another discussions of The Sims 4 with these idiots who like that game so much. The Sims 3 is still way better than The Sims 4... Even if The Sims 2 is still better, but too bad isn't on Steam......

I want to register my game on the official sims 3 website but I can't, any help??

If you go the steam store page for the Sims 3 : seasons dlc, on the third promo pic you can see a sims stomping a rain puddle. Does anyone know what world she is in? I do not recognize the building behind her. Thank you.
