There is enough space for ~3 more tabs under afk on-off.
I can definitely picture some merges happening (my first thought is that physical training, skill training, monster fights, and special fights could all be subtabs within a general "training" tab (would be a bit cumbersome for earlygame players, but they're all tabs that call for little to no interaction after not too long into the game while other tabs like might and RTI and spacedim are frequently used all throughout the game long after those early tabs become trivial) and that frees up space for three new buttons up top).
But another idea that stands out at me is the sidebar next to the player avatar. Where we currently have three buttons for changing the avatar, viewing the navigation menu (side note: 8 open spaces still left in that UI, although there's currently a certain organization by columns there which adventure mode and any other new additions in the future might not really fit into... plus who ever even thinks to click into this menu to get around?), and viewing the current patreon bonuses. I don't think there's anything that uses the space below those? And I can easily imagine settings and FAQ getting moved over there. Maybe story too. Perhaps statistics as well? Stuff that's more utilitarian or informational rather than being a "feature". Reserve the top bar for access to tabs where we DO something.
Not sure how much the pet village sidebar will ultimately fill up whenever you finally get all the planned buildings implemented... But if there's room for any extra buttons there, there might be room to reconsider how some of the other pet content is organized. I mean, maybe campaigns could be relocated there? (Go to the village, click on the flag icon if it isn't already the currently selected location, list of campaigns shows up here.) Maybe the "forge" and "alchemy hut" buildings could relocate the crafters in addition to whatever function you were going to create for each building? (Instead of the current crafting tab each class would get a separate tab accessed by going to the relevant building.) Could possibly free up a button or two on the top bar that way.
Hm yes might be bugged now with the new ui. Will fix it with the next update. You can try the old ui instead for the one challenge.
