White Day 1.06 Patch Notes
Hi everyone,

We have released the latest patch to address a number of player comments. Here is a list of the changes in patch 1.06 and a list of planned future patch content:

[Balance & Functional Improvements]
1. Janitors have been re-balanced and improved.
2. The keys for “Run” and “Select” have been separated. Now you can choose a dialogue using the “Select” key.

[Bug Fixes]
1. A bug that a janitor showing up at a wrong section has been fixed.
2. A door bug has been fixed.
3. An error that occurred when obtaining an item while the “Move” key is pressed has been fixed.
4. The invisible subtitle issue when seeing doodles has been fixed.
5. Other reported minor bugs have been fixed.

[Future Patch Plan]
1. Mouse interface will be improved.
2. Balancing will be adjusted based on your feedback.
3. Other reported bugs will be fixed and patched.

We are very grateful of everyone that has support White Day so far and appreciate all of the player feedback we have received. The team will continue to monitor all user messages and try to address concerns in the best possible way.

Very good! Please do NOT make the Janitor less relentless for noobs. If they want to play with walking simulators let them use Very Easy and that's it. The beauty of the hunt & be hunted would be lost.
Will you ever patch the PS4 version of do you not care about the PS4 version anymore?
Also a no Janitor mode would be nice.
I hope there is a mode that we can choose a character that we like to play the whole game, The process of the new girl is too short.
Devs, I love this game.. so I'm not complaining when I say this..

I don't mind the DRM you have on this game.. but please make sure I can play this game 5 - 10 years later without cracking the DRM ..just please be sure it won't lock us out

This is totally subjective. What has changed?
Is there a way to really tell the DEVs something?

I REALLY want this game to change the puzzles, but they're always the same for me every play-through(any difficulty), even though they supposedly are randomized.. like the principal's door code it always the same

It's really the only disappointing part of the game. I want each play-through to have random puzzles like they said it would..

Well I have some game breaking bugs I found in the New Building:

1. When on the 4th floor in the New Building in the Resource Center I found a figurine by accident in a drawer. It was invisible and I got the figurine by clicking around in the drawer. I don't think the figurine is supposted to be invisible.

2. Then I found that there is a unopenable drawer in the lower left cabinet in the Resource Center. I don't know if it is locked because of the globe puzzle. But if it is you should patch something in so when you click on the drawer it says it is locked. Because right now it looks like a bug since the cursor shows something is there but the drawer doesn't open.

3. When finding Seol Ji-hyeon on the 4th floor in the Library 2, she cannot be found by the janitor! Even when he is standing right next to her! Because in the original I used to attract the Janitor's attention in order to get Ji-hyeon out of the Library because she was being such a stubborn little b*tch. Then the janitor would chase her out of the room, success and revenge!!

But in the remake the janitor acts like Ji-Hyeon isn't there at all. Kind of breaks the immersion and this bug was annoying enough for me to cut my playthrough short today, because it was kind of bullsh*t. The janitor constantly chases you even if Ji-Hyeon is right in front of the janitor. I even hid from the janitor and he was searching the room and his flashlight landed on Ji-Hyeon and he didn't chase her or anything! LOL! After I ran all the way down to the 1st floor and back to the 4th floor Ji-Hyeon dissapeared without a trace!! I was like WTF!!! THen I got killed by the janitor since Ji-Hyeon was nowhere to be found, damn!

But seriously this is a MAJOR GAME BREAKING bug that should be addressed and fixed. Ji-Hyeon should be chased by the janitor like in the original and since the trailers said that your actions would decide the death or survival of the other students, this bug goes against what was promised with this game. PLEASE fix this devs, it totally ruins the plot of the game and I should be able to screw over Ji-Hyeon for being such an annoying peice of crap, thanks! :)

I know this probably won't happen, but can the way the head ghost works be changed? In the original, it was a genuinely unsettling aspect that made me uncomfortable whenever it appeared. Hearing the scratching in the distance and slowly moving away as it follows and gets closer while also trying to avoid the janitor was some of the most well-done horror gameplay I've ever experienced. It's not too over the top when it catches you either. There was a cry or whisper and your heartrate would increase.

The fact that it's been reduced to a stupid jumpscare is a travesty.
I would appreciate it, if the Gamepad would be supported. I cannot play with the Xbox 360 Pad for PC.
I don't know if this is a glitch or not, but before the start of the chase scene with the crazy lady with the knife she screams at the janitors. In the original this would kill them for the rest of the game and you could explore without threat. But in this game after you kill the crazy lady, their bodies dissapear. Once you go back to the old building the janitor is still there. This is a major bug and a major plot ruiner. Because the janitors are supposted to be dead, not alive and still patroling.

I suggest that you kill the janitors off after the chase scene and have it to where you can pickup the flashlight from their bodies. That would be a great way to introduce and reimplement the flashlight without making the game too easy. But yeah, please fix this annoying bug and stay true to the original game, which was a gem!
why is it that the janitors state is saved when you move to the next area? for example if he chases you and you are at the exit to the next level, he will wait there until you return and proceed to beat you up. Also stop making the janitor only look around the area you are in only, make him react to the environment like seeing doors open, lights on etc even if you are not near him. why is it that he only checks them when he is near you?

I think it is because he KNOWS where you are at all times! He just acts like he doesn't when he is looking around. But yeah something is definetly going on, since this never happened in the original game. Probably a cheap workaround for the AI, so that the janitor doesn't get stuck on a door or in a area.

It's probably just to prevent duping the janitor by going back to the previous building. You could do that in the original as kind of a cheap way to lose him.
