Can you domesticate?
Is the simulated neural network advanced enough that you can ultimately domesticate life forms over several generations or is the ai not quite advanced enough for that?

Here's an excerpt from the Vilmonipedia:

A minimal set of rules, derived from genes, controls the behavior of each animatroid. Animatroids have external sensors (motion/scent/water) and internal sensors (hunger/stress/thirst). Animatroids' brains have attraction/repulsion relationships between these sensors. It is these relationships that determine each animatroid's behavior.

As you can see, not only their brains, but their external and internal sensors as well are very simple. They have no "eyesight" and would not be able to recognize objects beyond motion and scent. And their internal impulses are only for the most basic needs. Behavior in Vilmonic is intended to be emergent from very simple rules.

The concept of domestication hides a lot of really complex behavior. As far as anims go, you will be able to evolve aggressive populations toward non-aggressive or even what you might observe to be fearful behavior. And you will often be able to figure out why that is based on the shape of brains and the shape of environment.

I hope this helps. Join the discord https://discord.gg/vilmonic if you want to find out more about how things work!
