Panrea Lowlands - How to deal with Space Marines?
I'm playing Eldar on Normal, and I find that by the time I'm able to have a few squads of Banshees, the AI already has hordes of elite units and vehicles. How do I deal with this? I've tried a few times, and it's always the same result - I capture the SP on the hill from spawn, get a few squads of Banshees and Reapers, then I'm met with multiple Dreadnaughts, Speeders, squads of GKs with Librarians + Apothecaries (etc) the moment I push forward.

The game is trivial on Easy, but on Normal it feels like the AI just floods you with massive amounts of units.

Have you tried to use the shroud ability of your webway gates and placing turrets?

Have you tried sending your commander to the AI's base to harrass them?

Have you tried using Ranger squads to destroy the enemy morale? (Cheap, invisible with research, long range and scales well) lower moral = less damage output and more damage taken.

Banshee's and Reapers are only really viable against infantry, try getting some warp spiders and fire dragons so you can deal with vehicles.

Difficulty ONLY modifies HP and morale;
Easy: You get double HP and morale, the AI get's only a quarter.
Medium: You and the AI have normal stats.
Hard: The AI get double HP and morale, you get normal HP and morale.
(IIRC)

If all else fails then rush wraithlords, they are good allrounders and are decently cheap and fast to get.

Eldar are not made for frontline combat, try to stay out of melee and keep the enemy demoralized.

Your builders can teleport around the map, use this to set up webway gates everywhere so you always have a place you can go if everything goes donwhill (use the relocation matrix).

My builders can only reach (from my spawn) a SP that is right next to the enemies base. Whenever I teleport there and try to build a gate I get attacked by units they have there, so I can't do that. There's no where else to send my builder without having to push up, which I can't do early game because they're too strong.

The enemies commander comes with ~2 squads and attacks me at game start, which usually kills my squad of Guardians that I build. If I only use my HG then it kills my Commander, so I can't don't see why I should send my Commander?

I've tried Rangers and by the time I have them + a few squads the enemy already has Dreads and massively outnumbers me.

Eldar not being made for frontline combat is the problem I am having, because this map immediately forces me into combat and I can't avoid it without having to push an enemy that is massively stronger than me.

Did you even try to use invisible turrets? it's one of the eldar best qualities IMO

Sounds like you're sitting around and waiting to be killed while the SMs can safely tech up to tier 2 to kill you without you able to tech up to respond on account of sitting around and doing nothing.

If you want I'll post a video on beating that map with the Eldar on hard even though they're my least favourite race.
