There are a lot of connectivity issues and even crashes that result in coop, which makes it hard to recommend it based on that, but despite that, I did actually have a lot of fun playing this game mostly online with another person I met on the Steam forums.

I think I'll simply ignore the issues this game has and say that this is a really cool way to revisit Dead Rising 2. It's a remix of the game with a change in protagonist back to good old Frank West, a bit of absurdity added to the story, and a ton of new content packed in to keep things interesting. While I prefer DR2's story and playing as Chuck, Frank isn't so bad. Plus, when playing in coop you actually play as Chuck if you're the connecting player (i.e. - not the host) and your customization choices stick, assuming you save at some point.

It goes without saying that I recommend the game. I don't necessarily recommend giving Capcom money, especially with how they let the port fall apart and didn't fix the issue with DLC, but the game and its content are great and if you're willing to tolerate a bunch of issues and just have fun playing the game, then coop is an absolute blast that you should definitely try to find someone for.
