I was having the same issue but once i started with the keyboard i kinda got used to it for quickly but its your choice

I actually tried that way before making the thread, but thanks for the attitude that isnt needed, did you read the part in my post where I said the setting is greyed out or did you just copy paste the answer everyone gives?

Hopefully this helps out, i was able to get it working, however today i had another problem, although i can get it to connect, the game wont work unless i alt+tab out of the game, then i can hear the game working with controller. If anyone else knows why that is happening, i would appreciate the help. Short verse, controller connects only when game is not displayed.

I went through all theses steps, still didn't work. I also did the steps in another similar thread on here. It still won't let me enable controller in game options. So frustrating! Fk it I'll use keyboard and mouse.

Play it on linux. Old games runs better on linux most of the time.

has nothing to do with the operating system and everything to do with xinput vs dinput
