I haven't tested it as my monitor does not go above said resolution.
I really hope so :-)
game is DX11, so no.
The game is... DX11, so...No? Sorry but... What? That doesn't technically stop from achieving any higher level of resolution than 1080P. The only thing that actually stops it is the developers, unless... You're trying to tell me it should also be impossible to run STALKER CoP in 5760x1080P because it too runs at a max of DX11, and that must mean it's even less possible to be running HL2, a game that offers mere DX9 levels of support on triple monitor 5760x1080P resolution!? No, sorry I'm afraid that's not actually how it works because I can and I do. It's simply the developers when they ported the game over to PC they had never planned for higher resolutions, after all the consoles the game runs on only do 1080P as well, in fact when the game first came out it was HARD capped to 30FPS a fix did come later for that, however.
4th post is how you solve this issue, and my gawd, devs could do it in a heartbeat, it's lazy exploitative capitalism at its finest. https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/nvidia-anti-aliasing-guide-updated.357956/page-182
*Yes, I am playing right now in 3840x2160.
