If you have problems with black textures, or strange looking trees, try disable texture compression
This game ran fine for me on win 10, but i tried it recently on win 11 and found strange issues with trees and black textures.
I tried the existing solutions here in the board, which are
* deleting the texture cache
* uninstalling programms that might interfere with the graphics card (afterburner, amd gaming evloved, ...)
both didn't work.
in the same directory where the texture cache is located
Steam\userdata\[yoursteamID]\446800\local
there is a settings.lua file, if you open that with an editor you will find an entry called
useTextureCompression = true
if you switch that to
useTextureCompression = false
and then delete the texture cache for good measure, the game was running fine for me afterwards.
Not sure if this has performance implications, I'm running on a Radeon RX 470 and don't have any issues with it.
Hope this will help you too!
