Don't let the meme reviews or comparisons to Suzerain fool you into thinking this is something that it's not. It's a text-based rpg with fading tolerance for subpar decisions that are chosen as the story progresses.

Unfortunately, unless you pick well, the reward for failures doesn't seem to be many insights other than making you feel stink for not selecting an optimal character, or knowing what the decisions will actually entail, should you not actually mind-read where the story is headed.

To be actually charitable to Sabres of Infinity, it was fine and I enjoyed my time with it enough... so I fell slightly bad about leaving a negative rating. But really, if you don't make certain ideal choices in this first instalment you are highly likely not going to enjoy the following two Infinity Games... which makes buying this first one a waste of time and money.

At the very least, I cannot recommend buying all three at once unless you are certain you'll enjoy these sorts of games.
