Railguns
I can't tell if I'm using them wrong but raillguns seem to be hilariously weak compared to autogas weapons at least when I send a railgun ship to fight the pirates, I get out ranged and murdered in a matter of seconds.

Hi Gryphon railguns are most effective as spinal mount weapons with good computers and beam attack bonuses.

Autogauss is usually better early game with railguns better mid to late game.

Pirates are using spinal mount railguhs in you.

that's funny because the combat log only lists autogauss but I'll keep that in mind.

The designs are a bit randomized but some railguns will be there.
