It there a way to...
... place markers on the map? I found a pile of mine-able stone, and set a golem to mine it, but I am afraid I will forget where it is.
I was hoping signs showed up on the map, but no luck.

You can place a portal, it'll show on the map and let you get back there easily.

Sweet. Sadly crystal seems very rare, too rare to use it just to mark a location. I have two portals though. Except for killing my horse, they work great.

Now I have crystals out the ying-yang. I even found a temple which I call the crystal mine, there are so many.
Funny the places I find treasure chest sometimes.
