Troubleshooting: Crashes and other major bugs

Hey guys, we're creating this discussion as a guide to fixing any early access crashes and other major bugs. We will keep updating it as we find new solutions.

Also, if any of the tips below work for you, please, let us know too. We want to find a way to make the game launch and experience fun and stable for all.

*We're located in Slovakia, Central Europe and although we're online as much as possible, there might be response lags to emails / discussion posts. Yes, time zones can be annoying sometimes.

Most common solutions to crashes

#1 - Verify Integrity of Game Cache

The most common issue is that the game files were not installed properly. Steam recommends verifying the integrity of the game cache and they posted a real simple guide on how to do that in the Steam Support Knowledge base >> https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335

#2 - Incorrectly installed drivers / graphic card

This situation can happen even if other games do run fine. After reinstalling/ updating the drivers necessary, even the other games should run smoother.

If none of the above fixes work we'd like you to send us the error log so we can take a better look into the problem. If you have any other crash / bug issue, feel free to let us know in the discussion below, we'll look into it as soon as possible.

Error log - locating it

Please, if your situation is not found above, the best thing to do is to send us your error log following these 3 steps:

Run the game up to the point where it crashes / bugs.
Locate your error log file: It’s located inside the Steam game folder, usually here:
C:\...\Steam\SteamApps\common\Feed and Grow Fish\Feed and Grow_Data\output_log.txt
*If it’s not there, try searching for SteamApps folder
Send it over to us via email – info@feedandgrow.net and we’ll look into it straight away.

I got problems with multiplayer. When i join the server my friend hosted all fish are frozen.
I am able to spawn but i'm somehow not on his server even thought i connected.
As soon as i bite another fish i get reseted back to my spawn location.
He is using different ports because he forwarded them already if that is the problem.

Could you make it save your fishes that are unlocked without collecting coins everytime you restart the game.

Aye, we agree it's not the easiest thing to do.. We're putting this fix together with other optimisation bits to make the gameplay smoother. Stay tuned, guys.

Can you make it to were i can play it without a error report coming up when i get in the game part when i try to play Crab madness? Like I get in its all fine then bamn it says HEY WE KNOW YOU REALY WANNA PLAY THIS GAME!!! But even though you could like a weak ago We dont want you to because ♥♥♥♥ your have a terrible day pal :) Please send this to the Developers?

Fourteen Dollars and my intire f8cking Weak down the drain... Ever since A 1-Mb Update..... F8ck my computer Now my fav game to my f8cking least runable game Compared to gta..... soryy but i f8cking hate my life right now becus of the weak wasted fixing this now back to school

Have you tried updating you graphical drivers?

Periodically while I'm playing, my fish will suddenly become drunk and I can no longer steer nor control the camera. It makes the game rather unplayable when it happens, and it happens quite often. Any idea what's going on?

I installed a little thing that allows to f8cking go even lower in the graphics settings.... I still cant even... play All because of 1gram update and how does one do that?
