Played this a lot on the Xbox 360 only for the gem that was the survival mode. The PC port is functional, but nothing noteworthy. This game came out during the era where PC ports were an afterthought.

After finishing the bombastic, popcorn campaign, MW3 has a multiplayer mode that is basically filled with hackers and excessive lag and a spec ops mode that allows for 2 player coop in missions + a survival mode.

Honestly, the only mode that got me coming back was the survival mode, a wave-based horde mode which was a derivative of other horde modes from games like Black Ops zombies, Halo firefight, Gears horde, etc. For what it is, it's pretty damn fun. 16 built in maps with varying difficulties. You get access to three armories that provide you weapons, perks, explosives, AI squads for aid, sentry turrets, airstrikes, etc. Waves past 25 start becoming more challenging since enemies start becoming bullet sponges and juggernauts and attack choppers start spawning more often.

For those small number of players who avidly enjoyed the survival mode, check out Trepang2. It's a FEAR inspired shooter that has a horde mode that feels like a true successor to MW3's survival mode. Faster and gory combat, better enemy AI, and more maps that are smaller and tighter. MW2019's survival was a huge letdown, especially for solo players.

This game is only worth if you wanna relive the nostalgic 7th gen console era and if you can find this game on sale with all its DLC. The game still being close to full price more than a decade later is criminal, but that's Activision for you.

love survival mode but literally nothing else, so basic like every cod, and multiplayer is where EVERY COD sucks Especially pc where a--holes steel your ip and the fact survival is not much better, playing alone. 1- the F--kI-NG Juggernaut always spawn directly above you. 2 they always send out dogs to bite your ass while your trying to shoot down a heli-copter. 3 Barely any guns or attachments. 4 most maps have dead ends and the outside of the boundarys looks way better than what your running around.5 the da--n sentrys fu--in- die every time and the people are no better when they are constantly knocking enemies down and pulling out sidearm then they get shot in head 99% of the time and they are not cheap.7 you always have enemies planting gas or claymores and its impossible to do a dam thing. 7 none of the prices reflect the item like 2000 dollars for 250 body armor like come one
