However the only thing you can change is the crest wich would only show this to you (in multiplayer games)
you can change either just the weapon of your lord or also the lord model to any other lord you want (and you can even use the default lords visor for the knight unit if you prefere the flat visor over the pointy one the knights have)
edit: my hope lies in the posibility of a definitive edition of stronghold 2 after they released teh stronghold crusader definitive edition, hopefully the player color change becomes a stable feature of the definitive editions. :)

Anyways , that's don't change the red color of the faction , but you don't care , that is just only for the gameplay. mechanics
