The unfound secret (HELP!)
So according to developer Daniel Mullins there’s another secret that has been discussed little to not at all. I’ve been trying to figure out this secret, but I’ve hit a wall and figured that sharing everything I’ve found would be the best solution.

Let’s start:

In act 1, in the advanced settings, security options there’s the following clue:

http://puu.sh/mnIOL/efb62d4d8b.jpg

The first line “@#&#(!#)(@” has me stumped. I have no clue what this could be converted to. If anyone can figure that out, that’d be great.

The binary under it, if all put in order and translated to ASCII spells out “audiotopright”, so let’s go to the audio options and click in the top right.

This plays an audio file; I have recorded it here:

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0SOEA1KxkmC

“His father pure evil”. A phrase found elsewhere in the game. However, the pronounciation seems off somehow. Usually this indicates that the sound has to be reversed, so I did that:

http://vocaroo.com/i/s0JWU6gtBXrL

I’m not sure what to make of this. The closest thing I can hear is “a beeper perhaps”. If anyone else hears something that makes more sense, that’d help.

Next, on the guest profile, there’s a HELP.txt file with multiple layers of text.

http://puu.sh/mnJ4f/2b47540daa.jpg

The text about being trapped is likely not significant; the flipped text (“I AM LEVEL 781092” and “KILL ME”) seem more relevant; though I’m not sure how. There’s another layer of text behind all the corruption which is impossible to read for me. Maybe there’s a way to remove the corruption?
On the Corrupted profile, there’s some very dark flipped text at the top. Flipping it back shows us…

Same thing as the audio file. It can also be found on the Act 3 hopelessoul profile in the bottom right:

Same phrase again. What does it mean?

That’s all I have for now. Have you seen anything out of place? Anything could be a hint.

Oooh, those oversaturated images make it look even more creepy!

It's the easiest way I could find to quickly investigate the dark screens. Luckily I have some Photoshop experience.

Also, if at any point you want to steer us in the right direction.. feel free! I'm completely stumped right now.

In the bottom right corner of one of the butterfly puzzles, I remember seeing something that looked like text. I didn't pay much attention at the time, so I really don't remember anything else beyond it's location.

Someone else showed me that; I believe it was just a "glitched" marker for the ending point (it was next to the house where the butterflies go). Didn't seem relevant to anything to me.

With the text in the help.txt file, I noticed that when you open it, it takes a split second for the binary to kick in. I caught a screenshot at the exact right time. Doesn't seem too substantial, but you did say anything could be a hint.

Neat! I still have trouble reading the top text. And I agree, doesn't seem like it's particularly clue-y. I checked out the Salvation options again, but didn't find anything in particular.

If you enlarge the picture, you will see. It says "NEVER ESCAPE NEVER ESCAPE NEVER"

Yep, I see it now. That's one mystery solved I guess. Don't think it has anything to do with the secret, sadly.

I've gotta scan some variables in RAM for something interesting, i donno if it's give something, but i must try

Could we find something with all our clues? Is there "SOMETHING" in a first place?

No idea, but it wouldn't surprise me if there was some easter eggs floating around. That audio file is something that really stands out to me; it sounds like backmasking, but when you play it in reverse, I'm not hearing anything particularly revealing. Which is weird, since the binary code pointed to it, as if it was the beginning of a search. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

I tried to do a quick spectral analysis of the "his father pure evil" audio file - it looks to me like there's something in there (notice the curly black line about half way up) but I don't think the audio file from vocaroo is at the original quality. Is anybody able to provide a wav file here? Or even get it from the unity assets?

It just says fix.flagpost()

or something close to that anyways.

It looks like there's more than the binary code hidden in the options menu. By clicking in the dropboxes, I've accidentally stumbled in a situation where part of the binary code turned red:

http://imgur.com/cNVCNP4

I kept clicking in the dropboxes, even the one with the binary code, and it turned four lines red:

http://imgur.com/gsKsmXn

Don't know if it's just some random stuff, but looks very unusual to happen.
Maybe you can try it out too...

Also, the code '@#&#(!#)(@' may refer to its respective numbers '2373913092' on the keyboard, but don't know what to do with this information either... :(

On the 'Password Info' screen the word 'Baphomet' also turns red, but it looks very random.

Now something about the questions; one of the visions show a blurred image, that's the original image:
http://www.gdcytsgz.com/files/2015-8/f20150818153307152494.jpg

That's the 'Golden Gate', one from eight gates that grants access to Jerusalem. From all the eigth gates, that's the only one closed permanently...
