hmm, can you describe more about this glitch, because right now i'd just recommand reloading the game

If the problem persists and you can't really progress, reset your progression, it shouldn't take so long to come back to your part

For the unfortunate souls getting here because they can't type in the first chat. I solved this by unplugging PS4 controller. It seems this game doesn't handle pads very well. Be sure to unplug anything and give it another go. Good luck.

I got around this by holding shift when starting the game, and then removing any joystick controls in the list (just replacing them with whatever the primary was on the keyboard).

I didn't unplug anything, I have a controller and a hotas plugged in. I didn't want to unplug the hotas because that means recalibrating it later, and I am too lazy to unplug the controller and have to plug it in again later. Laziness wins!

I'm not sure if this actually fixed it or if just restarting it was enough.

In my experience this glitch happens if you alt-tab out of the game while it's loading. As long as the game doesn't lose focus it seems to work fine, and you should be able to alt-tab out once the game loads properly.

Yeah, I also solved this by unplugging every pad on my machine. Not great.

Hi, i'm trying to use messenger for the first time but i can't send any message (only type it). Idk why. I'm using a notebook with a plugged mouse (nothing strange).

Has anyone found a way to fix this? I'm struggling to continue the game cuz of the messages :(

If you’ve got the beeping, that should mean that the messenger is open and you received a message, look in the lower right where the task bar is for a new open window and click on that.
