Game not starting or other issues? Check this topic!
Hi everyone,

We have removed the SSE 4.1 requirement from Nex Machina in an update and the game should start now with older CPUs as well (even with Phenom II).

Above fix probably won't resolve all start up issues and we are still investigating causes for them.

If you ever happen to see an "Assertion failure" -message, please click the copy to clipboard button and paste the message to this thread or send an email to support@housemarque.com

Whenever you have issues, please also post details of your hardware setup:

- CPU (processor model)
- GPU (graphics card model)
- Memory
- Windows version (also is your Windows 32bit or 64bit)

Game won't launch
Preparing to launch window comes up, disapears and then nothing happens. Tried reinstalling and verifying game cache but did not fix the problem.

same here

What sort of setup do you have? At least cpu's that don't support SSE 4.1 won't run the game.. Do you receive any error messages? Any extra information would be nice.

The cpu I have is i7-3770k. When launching the game it flashes running, then switches to syncing and after that nothing happens. No error messages pop up

I am having the same problem. Would you be interested in a debug dump? I am having VS installed and could prepare it for you if you have a use for it.

@Punzlebaer I think that would be helpful. You can probably send it to support@housemarque.com

@Lexa at least this issue isn't your cpu's fault.

I had this briefly, but restarting my computer fixed it. Worth a shot if you haven't yet.

Same here, it just opens and closes, I try on laptop with CPU i5-3337u and GPU: HD 8730m, SSE4.1 shows is supported on that particular processor, what gives?

Same problem here too...
i5-2500 3.30ghz
GTX770

Not state-of-the-art granted but supports SSE 4.1 (unless I'm wrong?)

restart and disabling steam overlay fixed it for me but it remains unplayable due to very low frame rate with an i5 750 and a gtx 570.. at least I tried, haha.

Getting a Steam init failure error trying to run the .exe directly from the game folder, running the game on steam doesn't show any errors, the game window just pops up and closes immediately after that.
