⚠ The game with all "add-ons", without mods. Visual bugs. Wow, something new from Paradox Interactive!!! According to the Johnson Amendment (a player who bought the game and other add-ons to it is not a beta tester), now the developer is obliged to pay

Oh no!!!
The game is ruined because you have an icon in a completely unused space!!!
Quick, sue Paradox before someone else bankrupts them!!

In all seriousness, not a bug, merely a visual glitch which has literally zero impact whatsoever on the game.
By all means, file a report through the proper channels, describing what you were doing when that happens but let's agree to stop pretending like this makes the game unplayable or is something that happens everytime; because it doesn't.

Ah yes, OP, provide enough justification to publishers to nudge that line ever closer to 'glitchy broken mess' before anyone even speaks up, your satire is so completely useful and justified.

Verify game files.

This is a known graphical bug due to one of the new submarines and isn't going to be fixed until the patch in January.

Hi! I don't work for these scammers as a tester who can't test their "masterpieces".

Hi! Just deleted 4 years of the game. The German junta could not decide in 4 years to be a monarchy or a democracy. But I was pleasantly surprised that in 150-200 starts the Turks were able to become half of the Ottomans!

Hi! Not ok! Why? They raised the price quite a bit for their crap. Maybe they should raise it by 5-10 euros more so that the cheerleader boys would be more aggressive towards the fans?

Reporting bugs isn't just something testers do. Every game has bugs, even after playtesting. That's why bug reporting exists - Bug testers cannot find every single bug, and developers don't have infinite time to patch them out before launch. This isn't even a bug, like the guy you're responding to said it's just a visual glitch with zero impact on the game. It does not ruin the experience when a single submarine texture is missing.

every game has bugs, true
paradox games are notorious for new game and save breaking bugs with every update, even minor patches.

broken focus trees, broken mechanics, missing mechanics, broken AI, it's all there.
the game used to be good and playable, if paradox actually tested their game it would be one of the best games around.

as it stands now tough, it's a broken mess that can corrupt or completely fail at any moment for even the slightest action the player or even AI makes. you simply can't trust this game to keep running for a single playtrough.. the players are treated as beta testers, it's quite a shame that a studio of this size and reputation even gets away with this crap.

the only thing you can be sure of is that they'll do another money grab next year and we'll all have to buy the game AGAIN only to be met with new game breaking bugs.

Hi! How did you focus on the Reich when we were given two 1936 battleships named Bismarck and Tirpitz? I tried not to do this trick to unlock the super-heavy battleship, it's the same crap. Dude, I bought all the "add-ons" to the game, as well as the game itself. I express a vote of no confidence not so much in this "team", but in the studio itself! I don't have access to the US Chamber of Commerce or whatever it is in the EU, otherwise, it would be much more fun for the scammers from PI.

As someone with 5000 hours in this game...
No.
It is not nearly as buggy as you (and others) make it out to be. The buggiest playthrough I've had in recent times was a France game where I prevented Germany from remilitarizing the Rhine and their AI didn't like that. I've played something like 10 full games from start to late game since then without any:
*Crashes
*Major Lag Spikes (Excluding peace deals)
*Game-Breaking bugs
whilst playing (And that figure still includes playing various overhaul mods)
Outside of that time-frame I can count the number of issues I've had on
Most games I don't even end because they run poorly, I only end runs because I have nothing else to do. The worst issues I've ever had with this game is when I ran out of storage on my computer and lost some saves... and that was entirely my fault!
Only on major updates do I have to abandon saves, but that's to be expected with such massive features added on to such an old game and you are given plenty of notice prior to those major updates.

If your standard is “if a program has any bug at all then I’ve been scammed”, then congratulations, you have been scammed by every single program that you’ve ever bought because even something as basic as Word does have bugs.

And the reason why that happens and every bug is not found in QA and squashed before getting to the public is very simple:
Let’s say each user plays for 10 hours; that’s 500 *thousands* hours during which bugs can emerge.
Now, let’s assume the QA department counts 100 people (and realistically, it is a much smaller number). To equate the 500 thousands hours of gameplay, each one would need to play for 5 thousands hours. Or, roughly, 208 days doing nothing but playing the game (assuming a standard 8 hours workday, that’s 625 days).

I will remind you about Otamans, when Iraq, Iran and Afghanistan did not become puppets according to the trick. And this was not for a year, but for two years. I will remind you about the reset of improved relations with other countries, perhaps they fixed it, I am just tired of playing such crap.
If you compare this game with EU4, it's the "dark ages" and people like Johan should have been fired a long time ago. The same goes for Johan's Emperor Rome, in which no one notices that "discovery" points from four different groups can be spent on any of the four groups. In Stellaris, the development team would have been disbanded a long time ago for that.
And also, I played HoI4 for the first two years without any additions on the historical focus, after buying about the first four additions I didn’t feel any difference in the game, not even a little bit.

As I understand it, when adding mechanics to the game, the developer must immediately check its adaptation to the code, for all wandering new or focusing mechanics. And only after adding something new.
These guys take a long time to create their "masterpieces" or do they work according to the program: work for two months and go home?
