when launching mw2r and clicking 'play online' for the multiplayer version, the game starts an update with the message "a new update is available. installing update", and when it finishes it says "a new update is available, the game will restart", this is a bogus update, i did a integrity check in windows11 and there were corrupt files found and repaired after installing the "cod update", safe to assume that activision servers are once again...compromised by unautherized malicious 3rd parties.
