Croft Manor - Blood Ties in VR (Oculus Quest 2) - Bizarre visual glitches
I just beat the main campaign and decided to try to play the Blood Ties mode using my Oculus Quest 2 VR set (via Oculus Air Link, which I have used to play many PC VR games w/o issues including HL: Alyx). When I start the game through Steam VR (or through the Desktop RotTR icon), it loads the "lobby" screen where you are in a room and is clearly set up for VR, as the only options on the menu are related to the Blood Ties VR mission. I can turn around and see throughout the room, but the graphical glitches are wild. The reflections of the light coming in from the windows shifts all over when I move my head, and the shadows seem to adjust themselves randomly when you move your head or stand stand still, almost as if your head was the light source. It's like the shadows/reflections of objects are reacting to your movement, which doesn't really happen in real life or VR games (unless it is your shadow or something you are interacting w/). When I load the game and start in her father's room in the mansion, it's the same thing. The game is playable but the visual glitches make it nearly impossible to enjoy (not to mention give me a massive headache). Has anyone been able to play RotTR VR mission via Oculus Quest 2 (Air Link or physical link)?

Thank you in advance for the help.

I have the exact same experience ... also with the Quest 2. Good to know i'm not the only one. I tried adjusting the graphics settings to several different combinations... turning off/on everything. You can make it worse, but there doesn't seem to be any way to make it better...

same thing for me. Also when i launch the game/story that first apartment study it puts you in has me sized as a giant. My head is near the Plumbing on the ceiling. not sure what's going on with it, and i've not been able to fix it.

edit: the first menu room, not the first room in the story.

im excited to try the VR mode in my Valve Index... this should rock

does it give Index controller button prompts to tell you how to do things on screen?
I came here because I have the same issue. Sad really, I was looking forward to playing it tonight and had everything set up already. I'm on the Rift S. Did you manage to find a solution?

This is happening to me as well, the glitches, and being a giant. It seems that every time I try to reset my standing position or adjust any settings, it gets worse. It's completely unplayble.

I didn't have the giant problem so I just ended up playing it with the buggy shadows.

Same problem on original Oculus Rift with the lighting/shadows bugged.

Hi all, I ended up just playing it in regular ol non-VR. The only thing I was able to find is that there is a graphical setting (something about Reflections, sorry I already uninstalled the game) that if you turn it down to it's absolute lowest level, it eliminates the window reflection moving around constantly issue (however, the shadows are still terrible). Overall, it was just too bad to even attempt to push through.

Reverting to build 813 (select properties, betas in Steam) fixed the weird lighting issue for me. Valve Index.
