This is the only game my laptop has never been able to run. Perma black screen. So sad.

Man, I loved this game when it came out. I played it for hundreds of hours, but sadly time is a vile monster.
The game is still okay to play even fun at times, but the veneer is off.
Much better games came and went (e.g. Civ 4 & 5) and even worse ones (e.g. Civ 6), but what remains of Civ 3 is the feeling of playing the vanilla ice cream of the 4x game world, it's okay but nothing to get exited about.

With that sayed, I give Civ 3 a 6/10, recommended for people that have a nostalgic longing for the game.
