Quite easy to find matches at beginner level, definitely not a discord game. Just use the recommended settings (highlighted blue) for ranked search and you'll get a game every minute or few with someone very close to your level.

Don't listen to him, 8 does not replace this game because of the silly stream-bait comeback systems. This game is complete, cheap and runs on a toaster while looking adequately modern. And you can't really go back any further than 7 because lack of platform support and netplay for the older games. Tag 2 is stuck on PS3. Netplay on emulators is nowhere near this game. Rage in T7 is an annoyance you learn to live with unfortunately, that's really the only negative this game has I think.

Tekken 8 is the Job Fighter V of the series. Nobody wants to play it but they have to because it's the shiny new release. Otherwise nobody prefers 8 over 7.

I wouldn't say "Nobody" prefers 8 over 7. Many people do, actually.

Listen jabroni, Tekken 7 doesn't have HEAT, so it's the better game. The problem Tekken 8 folks have is they have to defend something they know sucks. In a fair comparison they know the game is inferior.

Nobody can give a serious defence as to how 8 is better than 7 without roundabout admitting that in a fair comparison it's the worse game they're playing because everyone else is and it has a higher number in the name. In a universe where only Tekken 8 exists it's fine, the problem is 7 exists, and is superior, at a Mcdonalds price, and a solid finished product.

Even though I've been playing it for months, I'm not that good. Competent, yes; good, no. In fact, I got my ass kicked from Initiate back down to 1st Dan. My character of choice is Eddy Gordo. I'm 43 and remember Tekken arcade cabinets. Not all of us can memorize every move and use them when apropriate.
