Firewatch
Wait. What? THAT was the plot?!
So this was all about your boss who had been screwing two guys who worked for her at the same time, gets bored with them so started taking advantage of another married man in a difficult situation who actually fell in love with her. One of them went nuts and became a stalker hobo who abandoned his 12 year old son who dies in a caving accident. Then when the married guy needs her most she promises to wait for him but buggers off leaving him to die in a forest fire but he escapes and finds a radio to speak with her and she pretty much says "Nah Hank, I never loved you anyway and I have someone else waiting for me"..........AND I'M SUPPOSED TO FEEL SORRY FOR HER??!!

One, Life is complicated and doesn't fall neatly into predefined little boxes.

Two, Spoiler tags are a thing for a reason. The game might be four years old but there's still people who haven't played yet.

Three, Your opinions are yours, dude. You didn't like it, that's fine. There's other folks who were unhappy with the plot (more specifically the resolution) and shared a lot of the same complaints. Personally I disagree; Delilah may not have been an ideal human being but she was, still, very human. I didn't find her UNlikeable for those reasons, at any rate.
One, I have absolutley no idea why you are even saying that

Two it says "plot" so people who don't want to know won't look at it

Three, Who said anything about not liking it?

Four, she wasn't "very human" she was a sociopath.

Five, It's just a game so it's all good.

Six, just an educated guess but it seems they ran out of budget and were told to wrap things up in a hurry.
I personally really enjoy the plot. Yes, she is a sociopath. They establish early on that "something must be wrong with you if you are out there."

In her case, she has man issues. The first play through I went with it though I did find it odd how quickly she started hitting on Henry but I chose the responses to go with it because, Henry needed to get laid.

By the end though you realize what kind of person she really is. I honestly thought during my first play through that she was the murderer...I though she was not actually working there and only pretended to be.

The second play through was actually even better, knowing what kind of crazy she was. I tailored my responses to not give in. I enjoyed it much more.

Try doing a playthrough where you ignore her as much as possible, I find that to be fun as well.

To your point about wrapping it up at the end...this I do agree with. It goes from 0 to 100 in mere moments. This game would have been a lot better if they would have slowed it down. Have more days of just exploring...more days to build the tension.

Either way, amazing game. I would love to see more just like it.

Let's face it we have all dated "THAT" girl / guy in our time lol. It was a good journey and, I don't mind the ending as such, but it was just so rushed and cobbled together.
It was like those old 19th Century books where the protagonist is in a life and death situation with no way of escape and then it just ends with - "And with One bound Don Juan escaped his enemies and made it to safety" - you know what I mean?

If it had been done properly we could have had something with multiple endings making it worth coming back to but I may revisit it just to piss her off a little.

To be picky, I think she was a supervisor, not a boss. She could relay orders and manage his (and other's tasks) but as far as "telling him what to do" in the Boss sense, I don't think she had that sort of authority.

Really now? Clearly this was an indication of the story so if someone does not want to know then they shouldn't read it.

he really isnt the other Guy should Have picked up on the Topic . . . its really not that hard to read & comprehend.:steamsalty:
I don't know if maybe her answers were tailored to mine but I didn't get that in the end she was going with another guy, I think she said to have "something to do" but she'll eventually "go to see you" (even though I don't think she will ever do that). But yes, it's stablished in the very beginning she has issues too, and even Ned noted that her relationship with Javier wasn't so over as she said it to be. Also she runs away of sadness and loss, she ran away of Javier when his brother died and she runs away of you when the kid you talk about all the time is dead too. She doesn't want to see you and remember that kid, so she runs.

For the other things you said, I don't know where you get those ideas. Which two guys were she screwing? Ned and Brian? She was only Ned's boss. She didn't screw them nor get bored of them, one died and the other went nuts.

...I'm sorry, what?

1) It's NEVER implied that she was screwing Brian's dad Ned. Not even once.

2) She didn't leave him to die, she just left on the rescue chopper before him. It's not like she said "y'all don't need to send the chopper back around, the other lookout can go ♥♥♥♥ himself".

3) Yes, she and Henry can both be flirty with each other depending on your choices for the dialogue. But it seems pretty clear at the end that she thinks he should stop running away from his problems and go see his wife. I think calling that "taking advantage of him" is a bit of a stretch.

4) Going back to #2, the reason she left early is because she just found out that a 12-year-old kid died in her forest, blamed herself, and didn't want to spend any longer in that forest than she needed to. Given how freaky and unsettling the last week of the game was, I can't say I blame her.
Regarding point #2, my choice was to tell her to leave. I trusted her when she said the helicopter would be back (why in God's name would she lie about that), and I'd bonded with her enough to want to see her out of there and safe. Doing so opens up a dialogue about the state of Henry's car, which was sitting in the parking lot unattended for the whole four months.[\spoiler] So the whole "she abandoned him" thing wasn't even a thing for me.
