Here I haven't accounted for stealing Jo's hammer but giving it back. Near as I can tell, the result there is identical to not stealing it in the first place, so I skipped it to cut down on the clutter.
I think that if you steal her weapon, don't tell her, but still give her money she builds a trap or smth
If you take the Equalizer, confess and give her 15k more scrap she will go after Hobs and kill him. You get a 2nd Equalizer.
That's what I've done on all my playthroughs and I've never seen Hobbs dead, personally. When is that supposed to happen?
This playthrough i spoke to her the first time but didnt give her any tech and took the sunglasses from her hideout. I'm now at Nucleus but went back to previous areas to open security doors ect. I heard Jo (or someone else) crawling around the pipes on serveral occasions in central production and R&D (the same noise noise she makes after giving her scrap and her leaving) and also noticed 'Traitor!' written multiple times in her hideout. None of the 3 names are crossed out on the wall which they were previously when giving her scrap. I know it's not much info for her story as such but it's what it is.
Also, the sunglasses are excellent. Paired with the black cerberus gear Warren looks totally badass :D
Interesting... I thought she'd murder the others regardless of helping her, but I never even thought to look. I might consider just letting her fend for herself. Jo is probably the most unpleasant character in the game for me, and that's saying something about a game with Jonah Guttenberg in it.
Would save me a bit of scrap, too.
And then you have Hobs, he acts all nice like a sympleten but he did kill somebody.
What we do not know, is if Jos lover was brainwashed by the Surge or if he was sane when they killed him.
Most other people are trapped in their own little feedback loop, tunnel-visioning on the one thing they're obsessed with. Davey wants drugs, Jo wants revenge, Irina's just doing what her ever-changing memory tells her and all Sally cares about is "board, board, board." Hell, even Chavez and Barret are too stubborn to stop working in the middle of a "pants to be darkened" disaster.
