Yup, recently jumped into 2nd monitor tate gaming and this is the thing I run into on pretty much every game so far besides PinballFX(the new one)/Demon's Tilt/Xenotilt.
If you don't want to have to swap the monitor yourself each time, the best solution I've seen is to run Big Picture Mode. There's an option in there to set it to make the secondary monitor the primary one when launching Big Picture mode, and it will automatically swap the monitors back when you close it... that said, I've just caved and swap the monitors manually when I want to launch tate mode. With every game I've tried, you cam swap monitors back once the game is launched and still running, but ymmv. Wish it was as easy as just setting a launch option to force it to launch on the 2nd monitor, or even resorting to 3rd party software or something, but I haven't seen any other solutions.
That said, this game runs great on tate setups, it has vertical format support (portrait), currently running at 1440x2560. Once you set your resolution and screen settings, it will automatically launch it with the settings you set. Only thing you need to worry about is that primary monitor stuff almost every game fusses with.
