Can we get a bit more information on what you mean by can't play this? What behavior is it exhibiting. Is it crashing at launch, not launching, do the controls not work, etc?

Have tried on three occasions to try to play the game and each time it starts up but controls on steam deck arent working in portable. They do work when using Xbox One controller when its docked. I also did a verify game cache still no results.. Plus is there anyway possible we will ever get other games like Futari? Its sad we still havent recieved that game...

You need to reorder the controllers when you switch methods like this. The game doesn't auto detect the change.
