Myself, and a friend of mine were helping you test the game out before you released it on steam.
You killed the game when you allowed people to build on the land, and killed any real underwater action because you added in the shark.
You did destroy this game Dev, and I know I am not the only one who thinks this way.
The whole point to the game is that you were to only build on the water, and you allowed those people who whined, and cried because they couldn't build on the land so you go, and do exactly what killed the game.
I personally could care less if you are revamping the game. The game is already garbage since land building was allowed.
You know what? Your game was far better before you released it on steam. I, and my friend still have footage up on our youtube channels of the old closed alpha you were working on.
Sad to see a game which started off great before the alpha release to turn so far off course from what the game was suppose to be.
I really thought that you had it together Neist, but you saw dollar signs, and destroyed what took you years to build.
Then for the water only, as I explained in a different post, the ocean won't be a flat surface in the remake, depending on the weather waves can be huge, and it's not possible to build structures on a surface that moves up and down, also if there is only water a ship could logically shell the hell out of a structure without having to get close to it, that's why we settled with a reef / rocky island approach, were there is shallow water where waves are smaller, and some rocks to provide a minimum of cover.
In the old version people could settle just next to one another and that was a big issue as well in my opinion, because it took no time or struggle to attack someone else, now there is much more distance between places where people can build, so going out for resources or to attack somebody else should be more of an expedition :)
