8 player mode available?
I've been a player of this game since well before the rename.

I actually have a tough time breaking out this game anymore because my kids are older, and I tend to need games supporting 5+ players at this point.

8-player couch games seem to be a trend. It started with an Itch.io version of Towerfall and later moved onto 4-player classics like Duck Game, Hidden in Plain Sight, and Bomberman. Then you have games designed for 8 players such as Killer Queen Black, Laser League (pre-new devs), and Knight Squad.

Is that something you're adding to Invisigun? I know it'd require quite a bit of reworking from the menus, UI, and even the stages.

I think of it like this. Affordable TVs have gotten bigger over time (I'm currently sporting an 83" now), and my family is only growing. More and more are able to play games, and I need to find more experiences for a larger number of people. It's crazy, but I think 4 players is very limiting considering how well some other games have scaled up to 5+ players.

I agree with the desire for an 8-player mode. If possible, it can totally transform the vibe of some games, and also breathe new life and depth into some older games.

You're right about the reworking though. It would be a tremendous amount of work - mostly the UI & stages, but also all the networking (session sizes, sync, spectators, etc), and the feature parity across all the platform builds (desktop, Switch, PS4, iOS). It might not be unreasonable if the team size was more than just me, but it isn't unfortunately. :(
