Kung Fury

How do I remove this from my library?
I watched the video once; it was ok. Definitely worth a chuckle.

Now, however, I can't get rid of it from my library. It's still there under the "Videos" section of my library, and the only option I can see that gets rid of it is to "Set Category" and "Hide from Library".

Is there any way to actually REMOVE it rather than hide it?

Thanks, guys

FWIW: Steam, I'd be more willing to check out promotional items like this in the future if it didn't stick around like an eyesore after I didn't want to see it any more...

We are working on making it a right-click the video, remove option in the client, but for now please follow these steps:

Go here: https://gtm.you1.cn/storesteam/account/
Find Kung Fury and click remove

Thanks Max, but I've already tried that.

Kung Fury is still listed in my Library under Videos, even though I've clicked "Remove" next to Kung Fury from my Licenses and Subscriptions on my Account page.

Now it's gone from my Licenses and Subscriptions, but Steam says it's still in my Video Library.

@Sean J, I followed the instructions in your link, but it didn't do anything. Kung Fury is still listed in my Library.
Do you have any ideas what might be going on?
SeanJ @ Valve 2015년 6월 25일 오후 3시 31분
It's definitely been removed from your account. Do you have family sharing turned on or another account on the same machine that has watched the video?
Geomike 2015년 6월 26일 오전 6시 51분
I have two laptops, so that might be it. The video has been removed from my main laptop, but it's still listed in Steam client on my secondary laptop. Further, I no longer have the option to remove the video from my account since I already did so.

Maybe this is a bug when one account watches the video on two different devices. It seems to have removed it from one device, but not from the other.

Hello, i suffer the same bug (i submitted a ticket to the support since a moment : i only got a reply, saying the problem was transferred to the Valve's devs)

removing the item through the account details does nothing except :

a / the movie is no more listed in the account details
b / the movie is still present in the movie section (in my library) : the only difference is : a buy button instead a watch one.

last note : i never used the familly sharing optiion ....so.

i got this same problem with other videos, i haven't watched this one,

removing it on license and subcriptions, only makes it changes from play to purchase,

and for now i only hides it from my library,

but i do want to remove it completely.

the videos i mentioned are payday web series, besides whats the point of adding this, because if i'm not mistaken its a stream, and most of the world has slow internet,

its useless adding a free video, when its just a stream, i prefer to download it and then watch it, and then "delete" it after i'm done.

kinda like what i did with most youtube videos that i wanna watch, its impossible to watch a stream, even with my 5 mbps connection, can't get a decent quality and the video always pause for buffering, and that kinda killed the mood.

i added emphasis on the word delete, because i don't want people thinking that i download all the videos on youtube and kept them.

oh and its not that i can't afford faster connection, but my isp doesn't offer for more than 5 mbps internet for my area (middle low income), even if the cost for more than 5 mbps is only differs by a bit, but they wont let me and other middle-low income area for internet faster than 5 mbps.

Sean,

Please keep us updated on your progress to right click to remove videos. This should be a priority if Steam plans on moving ahead with including streaming video for sale.

I watched the Mad Max trailer, and now I have three items listed under my Video Library: Kung Fury, Mad Max System Test, and Mad Max Fury Road trailer.

Hopefully you can see that this is a pain in the ass. It's hard to take Steam seriously as a multimedia platform when you don't have the capability to provide a means to remove media when we have finished watching it.

REMINDER: I have already gone through all of the steps listed in the link you shared; the media remains listed in my Video Library.

Appreciate the feedback.

Not sure how you would have something different between the Mad Max System Test and the Fury Road trailer. As far as I'm aware, they are the same thing.

Either way, I've cleared it from your account. If it's still showing up in your Steam Client, that's something we'll need to look at further.

I appreciate the prompt response, Sean.

Here are some screenshots of what I'm seeing, hopefully this helps!

This is what I see in my Video Library after I watch the Mad Max trailer:

After I go to my Licenses and Subscriptions page, remove the Mad Max System Test from the list, and restart my Steam client, this is what I see in my Video Library:

It seems like the Mad Max system test and trailer are two separate items in Steam, although I don't understand why. Further, I don't know why the trailer disappears after I "remove" it from my licenses, but the Kung Fury film and MM system test stay in the library.
Maybe it's due to the media being streamed rather than locally downloaded, the way video games are? I remember when Steam used to allow you to perform local downloads of video game trailers from the store. I don't think there was ever an issue with installing or removing that media.

That might be a resolution to this issue: the option of downloading (DRM) media like movies to function the same way video games do on Steam.

Thanks again for staying on top of this. It's really refreshing to feel like a big corporation is actually listening to input from its fans and customers.

I don't believe it, this issue is still not fixed after 2 months+ , since i reported it to the support >_> (well that's not a surprise , it takes months for fixing some bugs....Most of the time the support always claims the problem is in my end , and ofc most of the time it's due to bugs...)

Needless to say, i'm not very impressed by the devs....

The fix went into the steam beta client earlier today. the steam client was finding an old, no longer valid license for free videos and still showing it in the client. Apologies for taking so long to fix it.

Glad to hear it, i know it's wasn't a priority, but the support could be quite frustrating sometime :/
