and, works published before 78 have 95 years.
and I quote
"The GTA in our 'NotGTAV' doesn't stand for Grand Theft Auto, no, it stands for Great Traffic Adventure. And the V is silent. Like the V in 'lawsuit"
Actually, it's life of the creator plus 70 years or 120 years. But given that so many corporations own copyrights and corporations never die, it may as well be 120 years for all.
I am glad you are familiar with copyright law though. Kudos!
That will stand up in ANY court!
Pretty much just waiting for Rockstar's lawyers to get the C&D letter out at this point.
All of the profits from this game goes towards charity. Nothing is illegal here. It's a simple snake game which has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto V apart from having some of its gameplay shown in the trailer, and the general abbreviation of Grand Theft Auto being in the title. Even then, Rockstar Games, does not own a copyright of the term Grand Theft Auto, nor the abbreviation of it (that being "GTA" as stated previously).
If anyone shall receive a C&D letter, it shall be scumbags like you who make a big deal out of nothing. Furthermore, the OP (Original Poster) and half the people complaining of these things, don't even have the game on Steam. Which means if you claim you have played it, you got it for FREE on the google play store before it was put on greenlight and greenlit on Steam, you pirated it, or you're lying.
If a moderator sees this, please lock this thread and all those that are like it. This is ridiculous.
whose to say the rest of these organizations aren't as dishonest as those?
and when in the hell did I claim to have owned the game?
Doesn't the money goes first to the devs account? if so they earn from it.
This game got so much attention because they used GTAV, otherwise they would be one of those other very negative games.
Another idiot with a tin foil hat on...Go away.
It doesn't matter if you claimed to have the game or not. You're complaining about something that you have no right on. Whether the game, title, trailers, or content in the game is legal is not your concern. You just look like another white knight fanboy. Surely, you're not a lawyer if you're asking the kind of questions you did with your OP. It's not any of your business. Besides, if anything was illegal about this game or anything to do with it, Rockstar Games would have INSTANTLY reached out about it, long ago.
The game and title of the game has nothing to do with Grand Theft Auto V. Get over it. You lost.
