This game just straight up doesn't launch for me.

I've tried all the usual ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Disabling 2K launcher, turning off anti-virus, verifying game files, reinstalling multiple times.

The game just doesn't launch. I click Play, the game turns green, I can see the application launch in task manger for two seconds and then it just closes itself. I don't get a splash screen, I don't get to the menu. Nothing at all.

Try reinstalling the various redistributables.
steamapps\common\Steamworks Shared\_CommonRedist

I'd concentrate on the .Net and Visual C++ ones.

The launcher was removed in November or so, there's nothing to bypass there.

I cant get it to launch for me either, and it used to work perfectly last time i had it installed.
I also noticed that when i try launching the game with the executable in its root folder, steam gives a warning that its trying to launch with "optional parameter: CodaGame" and warns me against starting it (still fails either way). but I'm wondering if this issue is something to do with the removal of the 2k launcher.

i figured it out on my end. there was still mod files from my previous install, i just deleted the whole folder and re-downloaded the game, now its launching for me.
