I luckily had several saves and I think I found the trigger for the bug. Once you get the faithbreaker armor and do a mission, there is a dialog between Spider-Man and Caretaker that tells you to go to the Sanctum for the mission Shattering Expectations. The bug occurs when you get the faithbreaker armor and go right into Shattering Expectations. This causes the dialog to occur between Spider-Man and Caretaker telling you to do Shattering Expectations, but it is already complete. To fix it, do a general mission or two after you get the faithbreaker armor. This causes the dialog, then you can complete Shattering Expectations and it triggers the correct cutscene upon mission complete.

thanks... i'm gonna need to take a saved one with 20 or 30 hours less whic sucks... but al least i'll finish the stupid game...

i'll vote it as extremely negative as a bug like this is a reason to don't play it anymore

This is the "faithbreaker bug" there are a few threads on it on this forum. It's the number 1 major bug they left in the game and it destroys people's game without the ability to recover other than reloading an old save.
