FFX keeps crashing
Every so often after playing for a while, the screen will freeze while the audio continues in the background, and then the game crashes. It's really annoying.

Looking over the forums, it appears that lots of people experience crashing, and it doesn't seem like there's been found a fix for the crashes. SE should patch the game some more.

Windows 11
Ryzen 7800X3D
64 GB RAM
RTX 3080

It has been suggested that a recent Windows update may be responsible for this. If that is the cause, there's not much to other than wait for a fix either in Windows or Steam.

I just tried playing this on my steamdeck, and it crashes after the game select launcher.

If the recent Windows update issue is the auto-HDR bug that Microsoft has acknowledged is crashing games, then it might not be the cause of my FFX crashing, because I don't have HDR enabled in Windows.

Personally I experienced a lot of crashing until I used the 4GB patch if you haven't given that a shot yet I would see if that works. It's worth noting even with the 4GB patch I experienced a couple crashes with FFX2 but none for FFX after using it.
