Sry for necro, but maybe thisll help if you havent figured it out. Most of the time I have problems with my 360 controller not recognizing in game it's related to my razer Nostromo. I disable it in control panel, and 360 controller works fine. In many cases this can be solved without disbaling the razer hardware in the windows Contollers settings. Make sure the 360 is always the default first controller.

That's not alwayf foolproof, though. I don't other razer gear, but my understanding is that the issue isn't directly tied to my Nostromo but the razer driver itself, which (I think) is used for a number of different peripherals they sell.

If this doesn't work and the wrapper the earlier poster linked to doesn't work, you can always try x-padder. It's not the most elegant thing in the world, but it works.
