Hello. I think I encountered a bug. I bought chainmail from Barrancas Bazaar and it said that its defence value would be 4, but in my character sheet Defence is still 2/6; as it was when I had my Leather jerkin and Cockerel shield equipped.

I get to the end-boss and always die. how do you kill him? or more to the point.. how do u get something to kill him?

I purchased this game on Desura in 2013 (along with every other game you had on there at the time). With the unknown status of Desura, would it be possible to get a Steam key? I still have my purchase confirmation email from both Desura and Paypal. I sent a message via Desura (like I did about Assassin in Orlandes), but haven't received a reply back. But considering Desura is pretty much defunct at this point, I imagine you probably aren't checking messages there anymore....
