I was going to wait to post a guide once I was able, but I suppose this is as good a place as any to put this information since it did contain many of the sources which ZombieSteveJobs listed.

You should probably take a look at Guilty Bits too. Every episode covers a character's basic gameplay plan and their important normals and specials.

He actually mentions Guilty Bits, he just didn't call it that. It's the "Character Tutorials."
