I don't think so. If you exited the game, turned cheats off, and started Survival Mode without any cheats on, it should work fine but ranking up is much more tedious at high levels, so it may come off as not moving. It only is really noticeable when you get a long combo going; as such, I recommend using this guide to get a high combo to see if your rank moves.

Thanks for your reply, I eventually got it, now just grinding out the 50 hours. Gotta say these last two achievements are time sinks
