i get to character creation but then have an error so it has to close out, is there any way around this?

I've done pretty much all I can to stop the crashing. I've at least got it to stop crashing every 5 - 10 minutes. Now I can go almost 15 - 20 before it crashes to the desktop without an error. I've already exited out of "Geforce Experience", stopped cloud saves in Steam, added "-windowed" to Steam and turned off pretty much all processes in my system tray. Gave up trying to run it on my new Windows 10 PC so fired up the old one and downloaded it via Steam but it's giving me the exact same problem in start-up mode. BTW this is Windows 7 it tells me it can't find half the files.
