Running a Intel 6700K and a NVidia 3080TI, Running Windows 11 vs 24H2. The Game wants to start, ESRB plays, Ubisoft splash screen play, game crashes and stops in Steam. Read all the fixes going back years, nothing helped.
Fix for me:
1. Goto the game installation folder amd right click on the From_Dust.exe file.
2. Click Properties.
3. Click the compatibility tab.
4. Set compatibility to either Windows 95 or Windows 98 / ME
5. Click apply

After that game starts and seems to work normally. All other compatibility modes crash after the Ubisoft Splash screen.
