Can You Be Too Observant?
I just failed three, separate, 100% haunted cabins despite hitting the (DANGER) button for all of them. I am wondering if this may be because I was too quick in noticing them and turned around immediately to the control panel to report them.

The first I could see giant stuffed toys through the window which is an obvious anomaly and not normal for the house. On this occasion I did not even have to touch the front door and failed when I pressed (DANGER)

The second was the radio started playing a news report as I opened the door. I am unsure with this one as the table says 'Any Movement Means The Cabin Is Haunted' and I don't know if that would be 'Movement' per say. I did wait and hear the entire report outside.

The third , I entered and could see the frame for the portrait of the mother was hung on the wall, illuminated as it normally is, however the mother was absent. Again apparently not an anomaly.

If this is the case then the obvious way to prevent this may be to enter the house fully, subject yourself to whatever scare is planned and then leave. The game 'The Ten Bells' had a similar problem in which you could only successfully report an anomaly after walking a certain distance into the map despite a couple of anomalies being immediately obvious.

Just wanted to see if people had the same problem and if this was something that was going to be addressed. Still a great game for a great price :er_heart:

But the short answer is if something moves or changes position while you're in the cabin, then you press red. Many anomalies/hauntings are only triggered when you go upstairs and there's one really sneaky one where you have to stand in a specific part of the cabin to reveal the haunting.

This is the devs being sneaky with the story. These are custom horror cabins so the clients can ask for all sorts of set-ups. The girl under the stairs doesn't count as she never moves and it's just that the client wanted her there, creeping people out.

It doesn't matter what has changed in the house each time. The only thing that matters is if something is literally visibly moving

It isn't done by anomaly. It is done by literal movement.
The plushies are fine, if they move position since entering, then that's when you click the "DANGER" button.

I love when people don't read instructions and treat this game like another anomaly game
