This is literally the very first pc game I had as a child

The requirement is more than 10 times than it was first released.
I remember running it on a 150Mhz Pentium Pro CPU, with 32 MB of RAM. LoL

I hated this and many of the other "C&C clones" that came that year. The only one to survive past 1997 with serious interest was Total Annihilation

This game is and it's unique card system is great! I still have the CD :D

The card system threw me off this one back in the day wasnt expecting that in a C&C game, wonder if we are going to see stuff like Extreme tactics as well.

This also was my first RTS ever, together with Age of Empires, though here we could only get demo version of it. Still replayed it over and over. I'm actually bit afraid to get it and ruin nostalgia.

I am glad some others remember it :) Dangerously cheese skeleton it was good for its time. You have to remember this is from 97. You are most likely used to settings, options, and gameplay mechanics that this will definitely not have at all. But if you are a fan of retro games you just might find a soft spot in your heart for it.

Had the demo and played it over and over again, lol. I don't think I'll be buying this, but it is a good bit of nostalgia.

Aw yeah. I am pleased to have it again. I think I still have the old box (hopefully) somewhere :)
Also as someone mentioned before one of MY first games. I remember playing the demo and lo' and behold when one of my big brothers gave it to me for birthday present. I remember having them translate the english manual to me (I'm Swedish) and the info about all the units. And the music....blows me away still to this day.
Another little nifty feature (ala C&C) is that they had short videos after every mission in the campaign, for both of the sides. Awesome!! And they were so gruelling. Love it ^^
Though the video after the first mission when the dinosaur ate an arm from one of the soldiers lying on the ground, that made me cringe and I felt sad for him :( (I must have been about 8 or 9 years old then)

In what way was this game ahead of its time? warcraft 2 was better, hell even kknd or warwind where objectively better games in almost every aspect.
