Make sure that the quest is selected first, or else the black triangles for that particular quest won't show on the map. Sometimes a quest will temporarily appear while you're first near it, but when you go to do the next step in it, you won't see your next location on the map unless you manually select it.

I've tried doing that before, but it didn't show any black triangle destination icons. It only showed me Ed's location. I'll have to try some other time because I'm busy and can't really test it today.

Edit: I found the destination and completed the quest.

I'm having the same ish issue but I've carried Ed to the pub except it won't open or let me in neither day or night bc ots just blovked by metal shutters

... could the pub be closed? (it was). try again when it's open.

Just piggybacking on this in case anyone else wonders, I've been lugging Ed around for half an hour before I realised that you had to manually activate the quest. When you talk to him you get two quests, one delivering the meat packages and the other carrying him to the pub. For some reason the meat delivery quest is activated by default instead of the other one.
