This happened to me as well. Very frustrating. BUMP.

Happen to me few times. I loaded the game, changed the graphic to original and everything worked fine.

Try to load the game on the moment before u touched the cart, that helped me. If u saved the game after that weird bug, i think ur ♥♥♥♥♥♥, and need to wait for the patch. :)

What worked for me was setting the graphics to used Windowed Mode. Using Original over Remastered did nothing to help.

I wasn't aware that game was so buggy, so my last save is a while back. I tried switching to windowed mode, toggling remastered mode, and basically all the graphics options there are, but nothing helps. Camera keeps floating on top of the scene and no controls :(
Are there any other suggestions on how to fix this?

I've just hit the same bug. I've tried Windowed/Full screen modes and Original/Remastered graphics but still hitting the same problem. It's frustrating that this bug has existed for several years with no resolution.

I think I've found a solution. it is necessary to complete all the puzzles at this stage (reach the fire beavers and extinguish them all) then come to the tree. I did not change the window mode and aspect ratio, but in the "graphics and resolution settings" then the resolution scale is at a minimum. The bug is gone

I've got the same issue and after saving (after the bug) none of these solutions work. Super annoying.

2024 now!

If anyone see's this in the future there is a workaround to this bug that involves frequent separated saves and not using the enhanced graphics but ultimately the best way to play this game still is to simply run it in scummVM
