• Reworked the players list. It now allows you to:
  - Adjust voice volume for each player
  - Mute text chat for specific players
  - Open players' Steam profiles directly
  
• Adjusted the cost for upgrading modifiers:
  - Previously: 1 to upgrade to rare, 1 to epic, and 1 to legendary
  - Now: 1 to rare, 2 to epic, and 3 to legendary
  
• Added the option to toggle aim state with a single button press instead of holding it. This can be enabled in the Gameplay settings
  
• Players can now switch shoulders. The default key is Left Alt
  
• A confirmation popup now appears when trying to exit the game or return to the main menu.

• Optimized netcode to address significant desync issues, including enemies attacking from far away, delayed or unresponsive weapon switches, objective interaction, etc
  
• Further improvements to the save system to reduce instances of save file corruption caused by PC or game crashes

Fixes

• Fixed a weight bug affecting Exotecs and the Heavy Lifter modifier
  
• Fixed an issue where the character select window was displaying character descriptions in the wrong language

Text chat is landing in version 0.4.2 alongside a bunch of other stuff, so hang tight just a little longer!

Attention Operatives,

The year is almost over, and after an exciting start with C.A.S.T. in early access, it’s time for us to take a short break. From now until January 5th, we'll be resting and recharging for the new year.

During this time, we won’t be rolling out any patches unless a game-breaking bug arises. Once we’re back, we’ll dive straight into our plans for the next updates:

Update 0.4.1: Focused on quality-of-life improvements, including a text chat, ping system, and other fixes and enhancements.
Update 0.5.0: A major update introducing new difficulty levels alongside other exciting content.

It’s two weeks into C.A.S.T.’s early access launch, and we’re thrilled to see so many of you diving into missions and sharing your feedback. It’s been invaluable in shaping the game, and we want to keep the momentum going as we look to the future.

The Roadmap
We’ve put together a roadmap for what’s ahead. While we’ve got plans in place, things can and will evolve based on your feedback and suggestions. Keep them coming—your input helps us make C.A.S.T. better for everyone.

A couple of notes about the roadmap:

• You won’t see features like text chat, ping system, and similar smaller improvements listed. These are still planned, but they’re considered minor additions alongside the bigger updates.
  
• Updates will be less frequent moving forward because we’re tackling larger, more complex features. These will take more time to deliver, but they’ll have a significant impact on the game.

Post-Release Plans
Will we keep updating the game after full release? That depends on how things go at launch. If there’s strong support and demand, we’d love to keep expanding and improving.
